A new group has been formed in Covington, GA to make quilts for charity. The name is Healing Hugs Quilt Ministry. It is sponsored by the Covington First Baptist Church, where it meets every last Thursday of the month.
We had our first meeting last week, with approximately 10 attendees who started showing up at noon, with the last ones staying until 9PM. This is an open group where all that is required to participate is to bring a project to work on that will be donated to charity.
It is a great opportunity to bond with fellow quilters, work on something we like (which is quilting!), and contribute to a good cause.
